Outlook Send/Receive error: 0x800CCC13
after upgrading to Windows 10

Issue

 

After upgrading Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, Outlook fails to send email, and you receive this error:

 

 

 

Workaround

Use the Windows System File Checker to repair corrupted files

 

    1.Close Outlook.

 

    2.Right click the Start button in Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).
      If you don’t see that     option, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin).

 

 

    3.Command prompt

 

    4.In the Command Prompt window type: sfc /scannow (note the space in the command).

 

 Wait until the process completes. This usually doesn’t take longer than 20 minutes with a regular hard disk and takes much shorter when you have a fast SSD drive.

 

    5.Restart your computer and then open Outlook.

 

 

User account – Sending’ reported error (0x800CCC13): ‘Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.
